Washed and Ready to Cook. Keep refrigerated. Cooking times may vary depending on your equipment. Oven Roasted: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F with rack in center. 1. Toss squash with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in large bowl; season with salt and pepper if desired. 2. Arrange in single layer on large baking sheet. 3. Roast about 30 minutes or until tender and browned, turning halfway through. Option: Squash can be roasted at 350 degrees 35 – 40 minutes. Stovetop: 1. Cut squash into 1-inch pieces. Bring 3/4 cup water and squash to a boil in 3-quart saucepan, reduce heat and cover. 2. Simmer 12 – 15 minutes or until tender. 3. Carefully drain squash, mash and add your favorite seasoning. Microwave (1100 Watts): 1. Place squash in 2-quart microwave-safe dish with cover. 2. Cook on High 9 – 10 minutes or until tender. Let rest 2 minutes. 3. Carefully remove from oven; drain, mash and add your favorite seasoning.
