Uncle Ben’s Instant Brown Rice, 14 oz has About 8 servings per pack. Cooking directions. Stove Top: (1) Cut the pouch open and combine rice and water in a saucepan. (2) Bring to a full boil, reduce heat (medium-low to medium) and simmer covered 10 minutes. (3) Remove from heat. Let stand covered 5 minutes until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave: Alternate Cook Method: Microwave: (1) Cut the pouch open and combine rice and water in a 2-qt. Microwave-safe glass dish. (2) Cover tightly with microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap and cook on high for 12-15 minutes until water is absorbed. (3) Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Adjust cooking time as needed. Measurements: Serving (Cups of cooked rice): 2; Rice (Cups): 1/2; Water (Cups): 1.
