Hill Country Fare Traditional Shoestring Potatoes, 32 oz has 10 servings per pack. Keep frozen. Easy Preparation: Do not thaw before cooking. Pour only the frozen potatoes you need. Close bag carefully and return to freezer. Tips for frying with oil: Always preheat oil uncovered. If oil spatters, cover immediately and reduce heat. Once the spattering stops, remove cover and return to the original cooking temperature. Use caution not to spatter or spill oil onto hot burner of the range. Always add frozen potatoes to hot oil carefully. Cooking (from a frozen state): Oven Bake: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Arrange frozen potatoes in a single layer on a shallow baking tray. Bake 20 to 22 minutes to desired crispness. For crispier finish, place under oven broiler for 2-3 minutes longer. Serve hot. Deep Fry: Preheat cooking oil in deep fryer to 350 degrees F. Deep fryer should be no more than half full of oil. Fill fryer basket no more than half way with frozen potatoes. Use caution lowering basket into hot oil. Fry 2 to 4 minutes. For best product quality, do not over cook. Drain on paper towels and serve hot. Caution: Ice crystals will cause spattering when added to hot oil. Allow excessive crystals to melt prior to frying. Carefully add frozen potatoes to hot oil. Note: Cooking equipment may vary. Adjust cooking time as necessary. Keep frozen. Do not refreeze.
