Hill Country Fare American Jasmine Rice, 2 lb has about 20 servings per pack. Stove Top: Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a 2 quart sauce pan. Stir in 1 cup rice*. Cover; Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Fluff lightly with fork and serve. *Add 1 tbsp margarine and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice if desired. For drier rice use 1¾ cups water. For moister rice use 2¼ cups of water. Microwave: In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish combine 2 cups water and 1 cup rice. Cover; microwave on High for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power and microwave for 15 minutes or until all the water is absorbed*. Fluff lightly with fork and serve. *Microwave ovens vary. Times given are approximate. If your microwave does not have variable power settings, follow manufacturer’s directions.
